A motorcycle trip across the Balkans – a journey across 6 countries: Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, Croatia, Albania, and Macedonia.

The Balkan Peninsula is the historical and geographical name describing Southeastern Europe. The area of the peninsula is 550,000 square kilometers and is home to about 53 million people.

The peninsula is named after the Balkan mountains that stretch from the border of Bulgaria and Serbia to the black Sea.
There are many reasons to travel in the Balkans – rich history, authentic atmosphere, the local foods, and warm hospitality of the residents – and if you’re already traveling, what better way to do so rather than on a motorcycle?!

On the trip routes, we will ride on curved roads that called a “luna park” for motorcyclists, climb mountain heights, ride on breathtaking coastal roads towards unique picturesque towns located among dense green forests, visit the most beautiful beaches, enjoy a variety of different cultures, and celebrate until dawn in local culinary restaurants.

יום 1

מסלוניקי (יוון) לפרישטינה (קוסובו) 320 ק”מ.

נתחיל את היום הראשון של טיולנו בסלוניקי, העיר השנייה בגודלה ביוון ואחד הנמלים החשובים ביותר שלה. היא ממוקמת במרכז מקדוניה ומשמשת כמרכז תעשייתי ומסחרי, כאשר כלכלתה מבוססת בעיקר על עיר הנמל. נעבור דרך העיר סקופיה, בירתה והעיר הגדולה ביותר בצפון מקדוניה.

Within the city, there are buildings from the Ottoman era, tourist mosques, and the famous stone bridge – a bridge over the Vardar River (the longest river in northern Macedonia).
The bridge is considered a symbol of Skopje.
From there, we will continue riding towards Pristina. The capital and largest city of Kosovo. The city serves as the cultural, economic, and administrative center of the Kosovo region.
We overnight in Pristina.

DAY 2

From Pristina (Kosovo) to Montenegro. 260 km.

We will start the morning of the second day of our trip riding from Kosovo, passing through interesting and twisted roads alongside green landscapes towards our lunch at a restaurant overlooking a breathtaking lake with a unique atmosphere and rich food.
After a refreshing lunch break, we will continue riding alongside interesting roads with green landscapes towards the town of Kolašin, a town in Montenegro.
Kolašin is surrounded by mountains that become ski resorts in winter. Its convenient access makes it a popular ski town. Kolašin is located at an altitude of 954 meters and has a comfortable climate. Surrounded by forests and near the Biogradska Gora National Park, which makes it attractive in both winter and summer.
In the area, there is the Moraca River Canyon and the Moraca Monastery, which are central and unique sites.
We do overnight in Kolašin.

DAY 3

From Montenegro to Dubrovnik (Croatia). 266 km.

From Kolašin, we will ride towards Croatia on special and twisted roads that make up a “lunar park for motorcyclists”. We will pass through the Pavlova Strana viewpoint overlooking the stunning Skadar Lake and witness the unique wild beauty of Montenegro – a combination of turquoise waters, lush green trees, and curved roads that are every rider’s dream.
We will end our third day of the trip in the city of Dubrovnik, the ancient and beautiful port city on the Adriatic Sea. The city is considered a popular tourist center in southern Dalmatia in Croatia.
Overnight in Dubrovnik.

DAY 4

From Dubrovnik (Croatia) to Kotor (Montenegro). 92 km. (A day combining city tours).

We will start the morning of the fourth day of our trip with a walking tour of the beautiful Dubrovnik, and then we will ride on breathtaking and curved coastal roads towards Kotor, a city in Montenegro located on the bay of Kotor on the Adriatic Sea. Kotor is considered a sought-after tourist destination mainly because of the curved bay surrounded by picturesque steep mountains, with curved and steep roads on the mountains with amazing viewpoints!
Overnight in Kotor.

DAY 5

מקוטור (מונטנגרו) לאלבניה. 139 ק”מ.

נתחיל את בוקר היום החמישי לטיול שלנו ברכיבה מקוטור על כבישי חוף עוצרי נשימה לכיוון אלבניה. נתחיל את היום בטיפוס מדהים על הר עם 21 סיבובים ייחודיים שיעלו חיוך רחב על פניו של כל רוכב. בדרך נעצור באגם סקאדאר המדהים ונחזה ביופי הפראי והייחודי של מונטנגרו – שילוב של מים טורקיז, עצים ירוקים שופעים וכבישים מפותלים שהם חלומו של כל רוכב. לאחר מספר עצירות מעניינות, נגיע לאלבניה היפה, מדינה בדרום מזרח אירופה. תיירות היא מגזרת מרכזית בכלכלת אלבניה. לאלבניה מותרבות תרבותית וארכיאולוגית עשירה עם חופים מדהימים, נופים הרריים, מאכלים רשתיים מקומיים, ממצאים ארכיאולוגיים, מסורות ייחודיות ואווירה כפרית תוססת. לינה במלון יוקרה בלבניה.

יום 6

מאלבניה למקדוניה. 268 ק”מ.

נתחיל את בוקר היום השישי לטיולנו ברכיבה על כבישי חוף ייחודיים לכיוון “האגם הגדול”, אגם מדהים עם מסעדות מקומיות עשירות המשקיפות עליו. נמשיך ברכיבה ונעצור בנקודת תצפית ייחודית המשקיפה על הים התיכון. לבסוף, נגיע לאוכריד, עיר במקדוניה. אוכריד היא עיר תיירות עשירה בכנסיות ובתים היסטוריים ובעלת תרבות עשירה פסטיבלים רבים מדי שנה. לינה במקדוניה.

יום 7

מאוכריד (מקדוניה) חזרה לסלוניקי (יוון). 267 ק”מ.

היעד הסופי שלנו בטיול הוא סלוניקי, העיר בה התחלנו. נעבור דרך ערים מיוחדות ונרכב לצד פסגות הרים ונופים עוצרי נשימה.

נעבור דרך העיר אדסה ונעצור בפארק מפלי אדסה, קשה להסביר במילים את יופיו של הפארק. פארק מדהים עם מפלים שוצפים, מדהימים ועוצמתיים החוצים את ההרים. יעד תיירותי מדהים עם מגוון בתי קפה, מסעדות ומבנים היסטוריים.

נמשיך לרכוב לכיוון המגדל הלבן בסלוניקי. המגדל נבנה על ידי השלטונות העות’מאנים במאה ה-13 כמבצר להגנה על קו החוף של האזור. עם הזמן הוא נעשה לכלא ובשנת 1826 התרחש טבח של אסירים בה את מחמוד השני, ומכאן כונה המגדל “מגדל הדם”. כיום הוא משמש כמוזיאון קטן לתרבות הביזנטית.

לאחר מסע עשיר של נופים, חוויות, אנשים מיוחדים, נחזיר את האופנועים ונתארגן למסע חזרה הביתה.
