Greece 🇬🇷 Peloponnese- 5 Days

The Peloponnese Peninsula:

When we think about Greece, we usually think about islands, the Acropolis, and music. But there is also another Greece, fascinating and exhilarating, authentic and wild. Greece that sweeps with new scents, in sights that are unfamiliar, in local and wonderful food, in warmth and special love from its unique residents – the mountain dwellers.

Greece of turquoise lakes trapped between ridges and varied peaks, Greece of picturesque villages located within dense forests near springs or streams. Greece of monasteries surrounded by breathtaking views, which suddenly reveal themselves to the observer’s eye, filled with an atmosphere of holiness and infused with the scents of strong incense.

Greece of ancient taverns perched on the banks of endless rivers, specializing in the preparation of freshly caught fish. Greece of spring, adorned with a variety of stunning colors – from the unmatched turquoise lakes to the enchanting green of the dense forests.

For us motorcyclists, Greece is an endless playground with most roads twisted, and breathtaking views!

Route plan

DAY 1

From Athens through the Corinth Canal to Napflio.

On the first day, we will arrive in the morning at the rental offices, organize ourselves on the motorcycles, and set off. We will ride on special roads and pass through the famous Corinth canal.

The Corinth Canal is a water bay in Greece that crosses the isthmus of Corinth, connecting the Saronic gulf with the gulf of Corinth.

At night, we will stay in Napflio – a port town in the Peloponnese, in the northernmost part of the Argolic gulf.
It served as the first capital of modern Greece from 1829 during the Greek War of Independence until 1834.

DAY 2

From Napflio to Monemvasia.

On the second day, after a breakfast at the hotel, we will saddle up and head to the ancient city of Monemvasia in southeastern Peloponnese, one of the most famous tourist destinations in southern Greece.

Monemvasia is located on a giant rock cliff protruding from the sea, and its ancient part, some of which has been wonderfully restored, is built on the cliff. Among its narrow and picturesque streets are shops, cafes, and wonderful Greek taverns overlooking the sea.

DAY 3

From Monemvasia to Kalamata.

On the third day, after a pleasant morning wake-up of seagull sounds and boat sails, we will ride to Kalamata – the second largest city in the Peloponnese and the largest city in the region. The city serves as the administrative capital of the regional unit of Messenia and is its main port.

Prepare for fish dinners fit for a king and the best local foods.

DAY 4

From Kalamata to Trichonida.

On the fourth day, we will ride to Trichonida, a special and interesting area. From a landscape perspective, it seems to combine Tuscany in Italy with the mountains and lakes of Switzerland, just like that.

It is the most spectacular area for trips in the Greek Peloponnese, mainly offering nature, nature, and more nature, as well as excellent food and great wineries.

DAY 5

Return to Athens.

On the fifth day of the journey, we will head back to Athens. We will pass through the Corinth canal again, this time riding back to Athens. We will continue on roads with stunning views of the sea and the bays.
